[NEW CASTLE, PA, October 23rd, 2024] – New Castle School of Trades, one of the region’s largest and most respected trade and technical institutions, has been honored with the 2024 Innovation in Employer Collaboration Award from CECU, the Career Education Colleges and Universities association.

Our commitment has always been to create a pathway where our students can smoothly transition into rewarding careers with great employers,” said Rex Spaulding, President. “Our education and training departments work closely with local and regional employers to deliver relevant, valuable skilled trades training that will lead to great long-term careers for our graduates”.
The Innovation in Employer Collaboration award highlights organizations that create partnerships with employers to enhance student learning and career readiness. New Castle School of Trades partnered with more than 20 local and regional employers who value the education and skill development embodied in their training programs they offer.
“By utilizing our classrooms and creating great video content, our featured employer partners have become a regular part of the student experience, allowing students to interact with future employers well before graduation,” said Dennis Corrado, School Director. “This early exposure helps students and employers build strong relationships, and great outcomes for everyone involved.” he added.
